  9.     A VGA color system and a MicroSoft (tm) compatible mouse is required
  10.     to operate this application.

  12.     NOTE !!  Do not attempt to run this program on 360k floppy drives.

  15.     Design SHELL is a complete and very user friendly Graphics User
  16.     Interface (GUI) or Menuing system.  It provides the user with
  17.     colorful picture icons for selecting sub menus or executing
  18.     applications or DOS commands.  Allows creating up to 30 menus
  19.     or applications on the opening page. Sub menus may be nested
  20.     four levels deep.  With this configuration, you could access
  21.     up to 810,000 menu selections.

  23.     Design SHELL provides the user with options for selecting screen
  24.     background color combinations, foreground colors, font types, and
  25.     also includes a full featured Icon editor for creating sixteen color
  26.     picture icons. A complete directory/file utility with drop down
  27.     menus for working with ZIPed files and executing virus scan.

  29.     A utility for converting windows icon files (.ico) is also included
  30.     with Design SHELL (ICO2ICN.EXE).

  32.     All options can be fully password protected against entry.

  34.     A library of 16 color icons (over 350) is available for downloading
  35.     on most BBS's in a file named: DS_ICONS.ZIP

  37.     Registered users receive an Icon library with over 600 Icons
  38.     upon registering.

  41.     To run Design SHELL: Copy all files to a directory on your hard drive,
  42.                          move to that drive and directory and type: DESIGN
  43.  
  44.                          Design SHELL will operate from a HD floppy drive
  45.                          with no problems except reading and writing
  46.                          to icon files would be very slow.
  47.  
  48.                          For smoother operation, you may also include this
  49.                          drive and directory in your AUTOEXEC.BAT files
  50.                          PATH statement.  If you do this, you can start
  51.                          Design SHELL from any drive or directory on your
  52.                          system just by typing: DESIGN

  81.      NOTE !!  On some versions, some of the above files may be compressed
  82.               into self extracting archive files (DS_001.EXE, DS_002.EXE,
  83.               DS_003.EXE). If you have one of these copies, the first time
  84.               you run Design SHELL, it will automaticaly un-compress these
  85.               files at run-time.
